ABCs of me!

Hi y'all! I know I've been horrible about updating this blog, but I had a few minutes tonight and thought I'd at least put up this list of the ABCs of me that I found on another blog. Life has been super busy, but my best friend is coming into town later this week so I'm hoping to blog about our adventures once she's here.

A – Age: 22
B – Bed size: Twin
C – Chore you hate: loading the dishwasher
D – Dog’s name: Willow
E – Essential start your day: breakfast, usually yogurt, and sometimes Starbucks
F – Favorite color: pink
G – Gold or Silver: silver
H – Height: 5'3"
I – Instruments you play(ed): er...none.
J – Job title: Student, nanny, baby-sitter, future Child Life Specialist
K – Kid(s): None, so far.
L – Living arrangements: with my parents for now
M – Mom’s name: Becky
N – Nicknames: Kait, Katie-Pie, Pie, Pust
O – Overnight hospital stay other than birth: 4 days for appendicitis last year, and then overnight following a surgery that was supposed to be laproscopic but turned into a lapraotomy.
P – Pet Peeve: People who don't wash their hands. I have plenty more, but we'd be here all day
Q – Quote from a movie: "Hey, it's me, Bailey. You don't have to use this in your movie or anything, although now that I think of it, fainting in Wallman's does kind of qualify me as a loser. But then again, wearing a price sticker on your forehead probably makes you one, too. Ya know, I don't know, Tibby, maybe the truth is there's a little bit of loser in all of us, ya know? Being happy isn't having everything in your life be perfect. Maybe it's about stringing together all the little things like wearing these pants or getting to a new level of Dragon's Lair - making those count for more than the bad stuff. Maybe we just get through it... and that's all we can ask for. " The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
R – Right or left handed: Right
S – Siblings: None, except two friends I consider my sisters.
T – Time you wake up: Depends on the day, if it's a school morning 5:25 AM, if I don't have anything going on, it could be as late as 10.
U- Underwear: Yes
V – Vegetable you dislike: Brussels sprouts
W – Ways you run late: I like to be on time
X – X-rays you’ve had: Numerous chest x-rays, some on my neck after a car accident, a facial one when I was a kid, one on my leg, and too many ultrasounds and CTs to count.
Y – Yummy food you make: Peanut butter kiss cookies at Christmas, Black Bean and chicken salad.
Z – Zoo favorite: Otters

Wow! I can hardly believe it's been almost a year since I updated this blog. I originally started it to keep friends and family updated about my time at camp, but quickly learned I was far too busy to blog. Who would have thought that having 10 critically ill kiddos in your care 24/7 would be so time consuming? :) Camp really was an indescribable experience, which may be why I never tried to write about it once I got home. Maybe one day soon I can put those thoughts and feelings into words. Until then, I'd like to try to keep this blog updated with my daily adventures, because I'm so busy sometimes I need a way to remember what I've done! I'm not sure if anyone out there still reads this, but I'd love to hear from you if you do. I promise this blog will be a lot more exciting in the future. For now, I guess I should do a short update on what's been going on in the year since I last updated. Let's see....
In the last year:

~I finished another year of college (only 20 credit hours left to go!)
~I started working at a new church that I adore
~I went to FL to visit friends (a lot)
~I went to the beach
~I spent lots of time playing with wonderful kids
~I fell in love with someone I though was a prince, but he turned out to be just another frog
~I had surgery twice
~I turned 22!

I think that's about it, for the major events anyway! The past year hasn't always been easy, but I've learned that even when life isn't easy...it's always beautiful.
